It has come to this author’s most attentive notice that a most distinguished affair is soon to grace the county’s calendar, none other than The Blankney Hunt Ball, to be held on Saturday, 14th March 2026, at George Stephenson Hall, Newark Showground, commencing promptly at 7.15 in the evening, with carriages ordered at 2.30 in the morning.

Rumour has it that this illustrious gathering shall outshine all others, with an abundance of music, laughter, and refined mischief certain to set even the most composed tongues wagging. One might expect scenes of such elegance and delight that even Her Majesty herself would raise an approving brow.

Those fortunate enough to attend are encouraged to don their finest attire Black Tie or Regency-inspired elegance, for this evening promises to blend the grace of a bygone era with the sparkle of modern festivity.
As ever, the prudent will act swiftly, for tickets to this most coveted of soirées are already in demand. Early purchasers shall be handsomely rewarded: priced at £90 before 31st December 2025, £95 before 14th February 2026, and thereafter £100, with all sales closing on 1st March 2026.

One may rest assured that this will be the event about which every whisper circulates and every gaze lingers. Take heed, dear readers for to delay in booking one’s attendance would be quite the scandal indeed.

COME AND JOIN ONE OF THE LARGEST HUNT BALLS IN THE COUNTRY
Every year delivers a new theme where the committee transforms the Newark Showground venue to delight and surprise the guests.
The evening promises a three-course meal at tables of whatever size your heart desires, followed by dancing the night away to a live band and DJ.
Our annual hunt ball takes place in March and is always a sell-out, with circa 1000 people in attendance. Tickets are advised to be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment.
This year's ball will be held on the 15th of March 2025 at Newark Showground and was a huge success, as always, with a themed evening.
