HOUND EXERCISE

WHAT IS HOUND EXERCISE?
Hound Exercise is traditionally a word used to describe exercising the Hounds by the Hunt Staff, either on foot, bike or mounted on horses. The Hounds travel as a pack with the Huntstaff keeping them together as a group.
Summer/early season Mounted Hound Exercises are a great way to introduce Horses and rider to Hounds and being in a group. Our Hound exercises are at a steady pace and usually along country lanes and private tracks. These Exercises are very inviting and suitable for all.
We also use the terms "Hound Exercise" during our Trail Hunting days to describe travelling to the start point of each trail.
